Wi-Fi Now interview: Challenges and Solutions for Wi-Fi 7 Testing | Part 2

In this second part of Challenges and Solutions for Wi-Fi 7 Testing Steve Shearer discusses multi-user testing and roaming mesh.

When we think back a few years ago when we did Wi-Fi testing, we had a single access point and a single device, and we measured throughput and sometimes delay, but it was fairly simple. Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7 are fundamentally designed to handle multiple users. So, they have features that give a better experience for multiple users. Now, when we want to test new features, we need to be able to test multiple devices simultaneously. Multi-user is the defining feature and why we have Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 7, and many of the features show no benefit for single users because they were designed for multiple users.
